Your privacy, your choice

Balcony West operates Connect. For privacy questions or account help, contact phil@balconywest.com.

What we store

Connect stores your account email, a securely hashed password, profile fields you provide, visibility and introduction consent, membership expiry or administrator-granted access, blocks, introduction decisions, and invitation delivery/acceptance records. Purchase enrollment, when enabled, will also record the payment reference and accepted terms version. Authorized staff can administer these records and review membership changes.

What other people see

The directory is available only to email-verified users. Your profile is hidden until you opt in. Your email is shared with an introduction partner only after mutual acceptance while both memberships and profile consents remain active. Blocking hides both profiles from each other and removes access to their introductions.

Account email and security

We send verification, activation, password reset, and other account-security emails. Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing. Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect forms. Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and challenge information to help prevent abusive registrations; its verification tokens are checked on the server. Cloudflare privacy policy.

Operational logs support security and reliability. Apache request logs rotate on a 30-day schedule. Restricted backup copies may retain deleted records until the backups are retired; they are used for recovery. Account exports or information already shared with another person cannot be recalled.

This is early access. Automatic enrollment from purchases is not active yet. Membership checkout takes place on the existing Balcony West website.

Your controls

You can hide your profile or withdraw introduction consent in My profile. You can export your information or delete your account and its associated Connect records.
